Where the drivers and fairways in this family go multi-material, the rescue does not. It's a cast 450 stainless head with its face forged from C300 maraging steel, all metal, no carbon anywhere in it, and that shows up as the firmer, more compact feel long-iron replacements are supposed to have. Three lofts are built: 17, 19.5 and 22 degrees, with the 17 right-handed only. A 1.5 degree loft sleeve lets you tighten the gap to whatever sits above it in the bag.

Shaft weight is the tell for who this is aimed at. Tensei AV Raw Blue HY comes stock at 80 grams for stiff and X and 70 grams for regular, which is heavy hybrid territory and pairs with a player who wants the club to behave like an iron. The sole weighting is fixed. For a wider loft ladder and lighter shafts, the Max rescue is the one to compare against.
