A 28.5 degree 7 iron puts the Max squarely in game-improvement territory, strong enough to add distance without the jump into super-game-improvement lofts. Each head is hollow, cast in stainless steel, and closed at the rear by a polymer cap that runs heel to toe and stiffens the topline behind it. The face is 450 stainless and kept deliberately thin. Seven clubs ship as stock: 5 iron up to pitching wedge, with a gap wedge added.

Two stock shafts are offered and they point at different players. KBS Max 85 MT is the steel option in regular and stiff, while Fujikura's Ventus Blue graphite covers senior through stiff for anyone who wants less weight in the shaft. Left-handed builds stop at the gap wedge. For weaker lofts and a larger footprint, the OS is the sibling to weigh up.
