TaylorMade SIM2 Max Fairway Wood

Five lofts is a deep range for one fairway model, and that breadth is what the Max is about. It opens with a 15 degree 3 wood, adds a 16.5, then 18 and 21 on the way to a 24 degree head, so a golfer can replace long irons two or three clubs deep without leaving the family. The largest head measures 190cc, and the face is C300 maraging steel set into a 450 stainless body under a graphite composite crown. There's no loft sleeve on this one. The hosel is short and fluted, and the weighting is fixed.

Ventus Blue fairway shafts come stock in two weights, the 6 in stiff and X, the 5 in regular and senior, which covers a wide spread of swing speeds. Nothing above 18 degrees is built left-handed. For a titanium face and a smaller shape, the standard SIM2 fairway is the alternative, and the Max D adds heel-weighted draw bias to the same steel-faced formula.
