TaylorMade SIM2 Fairway Wood

Few fairway woods are built around titanium, and that choice is the reason this head exists. A ZATECH titanium plate forms the face, and the body behind it is 6-4 titanium carrying carbon over the top and a heavy steel sole plate underneath, and in the two lower lofts the whole assembly measures 170cc. Compact, and aimed at better players. A 2 degree loft sleeve handles fine-tuning, while the 80 gram sole is fixed where TaylorMade put it.

Three heads are offered: a Rocket 3 at 13.5 degrees, a conventional 3 wood at 15 and a 5 wood at 19, though the Rocket is right-handed only. Tensei AV Raw Blue handles the shafting, the 75 gram in X flex and the 65 in stiff and regular, which is real weight for a club of this length. Trade the titanium face for a bigger footprint and more forgiveness and you have arrived at the Max.
