About this club

Two rescues in the box change what this set is for. The stock build pairs a 4 and 5 rescue with a 6-to-pitching run plus a gap wedge, for eight clubs in all, and TaylorMade also sold it with a 3 and 4 rescue over irons from the 5 down. Those rescue heads come straight off the SIM Max Rescue, 22 and 25 degrees apiece, so they carry its cast stainless build and C300 face.

Underneath, the irons are the standard set unchanged, cavity backed and Speed Bridged, with the 7 iron on 28.5 degrees. Steel versions run KBS MAX 85, graphite ones Ventus Blue, spanning senior to stiff. Right and left-handed sets were made. The OS version answers the same problem with stronger lofts and more offset below the rescues.
