About this club

Six months behind its siblings, Ping went the other way. The G400 MAX arrived in February 2018 at 460cc, abandoning the smaller-is-faster premise the 2017 drivers had been sold on and chasing maximum forgiveness instead. It is the only G400 driver that is not 445cc, and the difference in intent is larger than the fifteen cubic centimetres suggests.

Lofts stay at 9 and 10.5. The adjustable hosel and screw-in rear weight carry over unchanged. The Alta Distanza is stock here and on no other G400 driver, because it launched alongside this club. Cast titanium crown, forged T9S+ face, right and left handed. Anyone who found the standard G400 a little demanding at address will find this one easier to look at and harder to miss with.
