Ben Hogan PTx MAX Fairway Wood

Three heads make up the PTx MAX fairway line, a 3 wood at 15 degrees, a 5 at 18 and a 7 at 21. Each pairs a maraging steel face with strategically placed carbon fiber in the crown, the same weight saving idea running through Hogan's PTx metal woods. Taking mass out of the top of the head lets it sit lower down, which is what gets a fairway wood climbing off a tight lie instead of squirting forward.

Loft steps are wide at three degrees apart, so most bags take one or two of these and let the irons or hybrids pick up underneath. It is a short menu, deliberately so. Each one is assembled after you order it, picking shaft, grip and length yourself, with the flex range topping out at X-stiff and starting at ladies. No left handed version exists. The PTx MAX driver sits above them using the same crown material.
