About this club

The PTx MAX is the forgiveness-first head in Ben Hogan's two-driver PTx family, a 460cc shape with a titanium face sitting under a carbon fiber crown. Saving weight up top lets mass move low and rearward, and that shows up as a head which stays steady when you catch one out toward the toe. Variable thickness across the face keeps ball speed from falling away as fast on those strikes.

Two heads cover the card at 9 and 10.5 degrees, and Hogan's own adjustment sleeve moves loft and lie through two degrees on top of that. Every club is made after the order goes in, which puts shaft, grip and length in your hands, and the flex ladder climbs from ladies to X-stiff. Right handed builds only. If you want the same face in a lower spinning package the LST is the sibling to weigh up, but for most golfers the MAX is where the fitting should start.
