Head size grows with loft on this one, from a compact 19 degree build up to a distinctly wider 28, which is the right way round. The more loft a golfer needs, the more help they want behind the ball. Four heads make up the run and the steps between them are even, three degrees at a time from the 3 to the 6, so gapping stays predictable whichever two you carry. Inside the sole, split mass pads sit where the factory put them, and no sleeve turns in the hosel.

Atmos Red covers stiff, regular and senior in the 7, 6 and 5 weights, with no X-stiff option, which the M3 rescue does carry. That is not the real line between the two, though. One gets fitted with a wrench and a movable weight, this one by choosing a number and leaving it alone. A Dual Feel grip at 46.5 grams finishes it. Playing left-handed limits you to the two lowest lofts.
