Offset is the giveaway here. The four iron carries 5.8mm of it against the M3's 3.3mm at the three, and the face behind that shape measures 1.5mm, the thinnest TaylorMade had built to that point. Put 28.5 degrees at the seven in front of a golfer with those two things working together and the ball goes up quickly, turns over easily and travels further than the number on the sole suggests.

Lofts span a four iron of 19 degrees through to the lob wedge at 59 degrees, which is a right handed club only; left handed builds finish on the sand. The fluted hosel is a fixed weight saver with nothing to adjust once assembly is done. Steel builds take a KBS Max 85, with Fujikura's Atmos Red on the graphite side, and stiff, regular and senior cover both materials. A Dual Feel grip weighing 46.5 grams sits on top.
