About this club

Build lengths step down half an inch at a time, from 39.25 inches at the 22 degree head to 38.25 at the 28, every one of them at C9. That progression is the point of a women's rescue run: each club should feel a shade easier to handle than the last, and the multi-material heads grow slightly as loft rises to keep the ball climbing.

All three builds are right-handed and carry the ladies-flex Reax 45, the lightest graphite in the family. Underneath, no sleeve turns and no weight slides in the sole, and the finished club is the better for it. Two of these will usually stand in for three long irons a golfer gave up on years ago. Start with the 28, which does a job most 7 irons do badly from anything but a clean lie.
