TaylorMade 2017 M2 Fairway Wood

Size is the story of the 2017 M2 fairway. The 3 and the 3HL measure 175 and 177cc, which is enormous for this category, and even the 7HL at the end of the ladder holds 145. The ladder itself is conventional enough: 15 and 16.5 degrees up top, 18 and 21 through the middle, 24 at the end. Two grades of stainless meet at impact, a 455 face on a 450 body, and six carbon layers sit above them on the crown.

None of it adjusts. That's the standing split between the M2 and the M1 in this generation, and it keeps the club simple to fit. Reax shafting arrives at 65 grams in stiff and X, dropping to 55 for regular and senior, and the Dual Feel grip weighs 47 grams. Lefties are covered on the three strongest heads. Take the M1 for loft and lie tuning, or the Tour version if this much head behind the ball feels like too much.
