Strong toe hang on a full mallet is the least common combination in putters, and the Prime Tyne 4 gets there with a flared neck. Golfers who release the putter hard have historically had to give up forgiveness to get the geometry they need. This is Ping's answer to that. Cast with a Pebax insert, black nickel, four lengths, both hands.

The Prime Tyne C sits beside it with a centre shaft and no hang at all, which is as wide a gap as two putters sharing a name can manage. Between them the head is broadly similar and the stroke requirement is opposite. That is the whole lesson of a putter range. Read the neck and the hang, then look at the shape.
