Five lengths from 32 to 36 inches is the widest fitting range in Ping's Scottsdale line, and the DS72 is the mid-mallet that carries it. Face-balanced behind a double bend, cast with a Pebax insert, black nickel, both hands.

Mid-mallets are the most useful shape in most ranges because they sit between a blade's looks and a mallet's stability without committing hard to either, which is why they outsell both in most shops. Getting one in a 32 inch build is unusual and genuinely useful if you are short, since the alternative is having a 34 cut down and rebalanced. Face-balanced geometry means a straight stroke. The Oslo 3 is the closest thing here to an alternative with hang built in.
