Ping builds the G440 MAX as a 460cc head, multi-material with its T9S+ titanium face, then hangs the family's whole fitting apparatus off it: an adjustable hosel, movable weighting and heads lofted at 9, 10.5 or 12 degrees. Quietly, the stock sheet is the real headline. Six shafts run from the lightweight Alta Quick 35 and 45 up through Ping's Tour 2.0 pair to the Tensei 1K Black 65, flexes span light through X-stiff, and both hands are covered, so there's very little a fitter can't build from stock.

Its siblings answer narrower questions. Smaller and lower is the LST's territory, a 450cc head that tops out at 10.5 degrees, and the MAX HL is this same club trimmed for slower speeds, down to a light-flex Alta Quick and a lighter Lamkin grip. They're qualifiers, not defaults. Everyone without one just hits the MAX.

This is the most forgiving club in my bag. As long as I make contact SOMEWHERE on the face, my ball is going straight. Have been gaming this as my main driver now for around 4 months and I gotta say I am a PING fan for life!
