About this club

Ping's hybrid from the middle of the last decade, and a simpler club than anything that came after. It has no adjustable hosel, no maraging face and no composite anywhere: a cast 17-4 stainless head, five lofts between 17 and 30 degrees, and the same moulded crown turbulators the driver and fairway carry.

Shafts are Ping's own TFC 419H or the heavier Tour 90, in four flexes, and the club is built in both dexterities. Ping never published a head volume for it and the spec sheet has no column for one. If you are replacing a long iron and want something that behaves predictably without a fitting cart of settings, that simplicity is the appeal.
