About this club

Those ridges along the front of the crown are Turbulators, and they are moulded into the titanium, not stuck on. Ping's claim was cleaner airflow over the head through the downswing; the side effect nobody planned was that they frame the ball nicely at address. The G30 runs 460cc with a Ti 8-1-1 body and a welded T9S titanium face.

There are two lofts, 9 degrees and 10.5, an adjustable hosel, and a sole weight that comes out with a tool for swing-weight tuning. Both hands, on Ping's own TFC 419D or one of two Tour profiles. This was the driver that made Ping's three-model approach standard, splitting the line into a neutral head plus a low-spin and an anti-slice option. Every G family since has done the same.
