Carbon crown over a cast stainless body, and a CS450 maraging steel face: the 845-MAX fairway spends its money where a fairway wood needs it. At 175cc the head runs large for the category, which suits sweeping the ball off the deck more than digging after it. Nothing adjusts. The hosel's bonded and the weighting is fixed, so what you buy is what you play.

Mitsubishi's Tensei CK Red and CK Blue cover regular and stiff flex, and a Lamkin Crossline 360 comes standard. Left-handers are looked after too, which doesn't always happen in this bracket. If you want a wider loft range and a lighter graphite shaft, the newer 845+ fairway is the one to put beside it.
