TaylorMade Spider Tour X Double Bend Putter

Gunmetal replaces the torched PVD that covers most of the Spider Tour range, and on the X models it's the finish TaylorMade leans on. The head is a mallet with a double bend hosel, so it balances face up, and both hands are stocked at three lengths. Pure Roll insert, SuperStroke Pistol GT grip.

Finish is the one variable in a putter that has no effect on how it rolls a ball and a large effect on whether anyone buys it. Glare matters slightly, since a bright head in low sun can make aiming harder, but beyond that the choice is aesthetic and there's nothing wrong with admitting that. Gunmetal is darker and greyer than torched PVD. Some golfers prefer it. Others find the torched look more interesting.
