About this club

A 33 degree 7-iron in a multi-material head is an unusual combination, and the 201T MKII is where Takomo puts it. The face is 17-4 stainless, the construction is hollow rather than solid, and the lofts stay closer to traditional than anything else in the 2026 range. Sets are 4-PW, both hands, with KBS Tour or Tour Lite in regular, stiff or X-stiff.

Hollow players irons usually exist to add distance, so declining to strengthen the lofts is a deliberate statement. What the construction buys instead is help in the long irons, where a solid forged 4-iron punishes hardest. The 201 MKII beside it goes to 31 degrees for players wanting the yardage. It's the more restrained of the two.
