MKII moves Takomo's game improvement iron to a 17-4 stainless face and strengthens the 7-iron to 29 degrees. The head is still cast, the set is still 4-PW in either hand, and the shafts are still KBS Tour or KBS Tour Lite in regular, stiff or X-stiff. Lamkin's Crossline grips everything Takomo builds.

One degree does not sound like a redesign and the alloy change matters more. Moving from 431 to 17-4 gives a firmer face, which usually reads as more ball speed and a slightly harder feel. Golfers upgrading from the original 101 should expect a little more distance and a little less softness. The 201 MKII above it is the players-distance option at 31 degrees.
