About this club

Sixteen degrees at the bottom of the card puts the 949X Pro closer to a driving iron than a rescue club, and the rest follows at 19, 22 and 25. The hosel is bonded rather than adjustable, which is the pattern Sub 70 applies across its Pro models, with the weight port left in place.

The head is cast with a 455 Carpenter steel face, right-handed only, and shafts are built to order across the full flex range. Fixed hosel, movable weight. That arrangement suits a player who has already settled their loft and lie and would rather have the head bonded solidly to the shaft than keep the option of changing it later.
