About this club

The only mid-mallet in Ping's PLD Milled family, the DS72 sits between the Anser blades and the full Oslo mallets in both size and intent. Because a double bend takes the hang out of the head, it is face-balanced, and that combination points at a stroke going back and through with very little arc. Gunmetal over a 303 stainless head, with a black chrome shaft to match.

Face-balanced putters get recommended too casually. What settles it is whether your stroke genuinely stays square, and a fitter with a camera will answer that in five minutes. If it does, the mid-mallet footprint is easier to aim than a blade without committing you to a full mallet. Built 33 to 36 inches, right and left, under a PP58 Tour M.
