Ping PLD Milled Anser D Putter

The D stands for deep. This is the most forgiving shape Ping puts on an Anser neck, and it came out of work with Bubba Watson back in 2023, which makes it the senior design in the PLD family. Extra depth behind the face pushes it toward mid-mallet stability while the address profile stays a blade.

Plumber's neck, slight arc, so the stroke fit matches the standard Anser exactly. What differs is mass. Ping pairs it with the Black Graphite shaft and a PP58 Midsize, a plainer setup than the Tour grips fitted elsewhere, and none of that changes how it wants to be swung. Anyone drifting toward mallets purely for forgiveness should try this before making the jump. Four builds, 33 at the short end and 36 at the long, either hand.
