About this club

Six stock shafts and five flexes make the G430 MAX the fitting anchor of Ping's 2023 fairway range. Alta CB Black 65 and Alta Quick cover the lighter builds, Tour 2.0 in Chrome and Black the heavier, with Mitsubishi's Kai'li White 70 and Project X's HZRDUS Smoke Red RDX above them, from light flex to X-stiff.

It measures 176cc, with a maraging steel face in multi-material construction, and movable weighting sits alongside the adjustable hosel. Lofts step 15, 18, 21 and 24 degrees. If you need draw bias built in, the SFT is a bigger head at 188cc, stepping its lofts to 16, 19 and 22 degrees. The LST reverses the idea completely. One loft, 169cc, and a beta titanium face behind it.

I have the 3w and 7w and I love both of them dearly. The 3w is much harder to hit, but I swear to god off a short tee it goes just as far as my driver does. When I can get good contact with it off the ground I carry it about 220 and it loooooves to roll out long. Great for long par 5s. The 7w on the other hand is my all day 200yd club. If I really smoke it, it'll go 210 but 90% of the time with a good strike its going 200yds and staying within 5yds of where it drops. It really is a magical club once you figure out how to hit it and work it into your game.
