About this club

A Crossover is Ping's answer to a question most brands settle by picking a side: hybrid or driving iron. This is neither. The head keeps an iron's shape and sole so it sits down properly on turf, and borrows a wood's maraging steel face for the ball speed a long iron cannot produce.

Three lofts, 18, 20 and 22.5 degrees, filling the slot between a fairway wood and the top of an iron set. Note the hosel does not adjust, unlike the G425 hybrid sitting alongside it in the range. Graphite shafts only, in four flexes, and cast stainless sits behind that maraging face. Both dexterities are built. Better players who dislike the look of a hybrid at address are the audience.
