Where the PDHY leans toward rescue, the PUDI leans the other way, and the loft card shows it: 17, 20 and 22 degrees, starting a full degree stronger than its sibling and sitting in a straight players profile rather than a players distance one.

Chromoly steel forms the face in a multi-material head, with UST Mamiya's Recoil DART as the only shaft, in regular, stiff or X-stiff. No steel build appears. That combination, a strong loft and a graphite shaft, suits a golfer after a flat, controlled flight off the tee who has no intention of hitting a 2-iron to get it. Left-handers are covered, which not every driving iron manages at this end of the loft range.
