A 35 degree 7-iron is the weakest in TaylorMade's range, the shaft is a True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400, and the flex menu offers stiff or X-stiff with nothing softer. Forged 1025 carbon steel, 4-PW, both hands, under a Golf Pride Tour Velvet Full Cord.

Signature models are usually a marketing exercise with a normal club underneath. This one isn't. The narrow topline, the tour issue shaft and the traditional loft come straight off a set built for a professional, and the spec sheet refuses to soften any of it. Very few golfers should be playing these. The ones who should already know it, and the P7MB is the sensible step down at 34 degrees.
