TaylorMade GAPR Lo

Smallest of the three GAPR heads by a wide margin, the Lo tops out at 60cc and looks like a driving iron over the ball, which is exactly the intention. The player it fits already strikes long irons cleanly and wants more speed off the face without a bigger shape creeping into view. At 17, 19 and 22 degrees, there are three heads and no more. The body is cast 450 stainless, the face C300 steel.

A loft sleeve in the hosel tightens gapping to the club below. For shafts, KBS Hybrid at 80 grams in stiff and 70 in regular, and neither a senior nor a ladies flex was stocked, which says plainly who was meant to swing it. The Tour Velvet 360 from Golf Pride goes on all three builds, two of which (the 17 and the 19) were also made left-handed. If the Lo looks too thin to commit to, the Mid is the same idea in a head about a quarter bigger.
