About this club

Two lofts, 15 and 18 degrees, mark the Lightning Tour out as the narrow half of PXG's 2026 fairway pair. An HT1770 maraging steel face sits in multi-material construction, and nothing is bonded, hosel and weighting alike, so a tight loft menu doesn't mean a tight fitting.

The shaft rack has a single entry, Project X's Denali Frost Blue, covering senior through X-stiff. One shaft, four flexes. Against the standard Lightning fairway, which runs six lofts all the way to 27 degrees, this is the version for a player who wants a 3-wood and a 5-wood and nothing else in that part of the bag. If getting the ball up off the turf is the problem rather than controlling it, the wider model is the better door.
