About this club

Black Ops was PXG's first proper game improvement iron, and it arrived with a cast body rather than the forgings the brand built its name on. The face is HT1770 maraging steel, the 7-iron is 28 degrees, and sets run 4-PW in either hand. Shaft and grip aren't published, because PXG assembles every set to the buyer's specification and names no default. Flexes run ladies through X-stiff.

Casting is the interesting choice here. It let PXG build a bigger, more forgiving head than the forged GEN irons allow, and it gave the range a genuinely helpful shape it had been missing. Golfers who want PXG styling with real help behind the ball should start here rather than in the 0311 line. Everything else about the buying process stays the same.
