PXG Black Ops Fairway

A seven-shaft stock rack on a fairway wood is close to unheard of, and the 2024 Black Ops carries the lot: three Mitsubishi profiles in Tensei AV Raw Blue 65, Diamana S+ 60 and Tensei AV Raw White 75, three from Project X, and an Aldila NVS NXT underneath. From ladies to X-stiff, nothing on the flex card is missing.

Lofts are 15, 17, 18 and 21 degrees, which slots a 17 between the usual 3-wood and 5-wood steps, on a multi-material head with a stainless steel face. That 17 is the interesting one. Neither loft nor bias is fixed at the factory, since the hosel and the sole weighting both move. Put together it reads less like a model than a fitting cabinet, and it suits a golfer who has been told before that nothing off the rack quite works.
