About this club

G Le4 keeps one hybrid and lets the irons do the rest. The set runs 5H, then 6 through PW with a gap wedge, seven clubs in total, against the eleven that came in the G Le3. Ping's Alta Le shafts are stocked in two versions, one for the iron heads and one for the hybrid, in ladies flex. The 7-iron is 29.5 degrees, unchanged from the previous generation, and the heads are multi-material with a 17-4 stainless face.

Golf Pride's Soft Tack in lilac is the stock grip and both hands are available. Fewer hybrids is not necessarily a downgrade. A 6-iron is a manageable club for most golfers once the 4 and 5 are gone, and the shorter set leaves room in the bag for a fairway wood or a specialist wedge.
