About this club

Where the drivers in this family got a titanium crown, the fairway gets steel, thinned down at the back to pull weight out of the top of the head. That matters more here than it does in a driver. Get the mass low enough and the ball climbs off turf without much help, which is what you're really fighting with a 3 wood from a tight lie.

Adjustment comes from a smaller hosel than the driver's, bored a degree off axis. Loft moves a degree either way, lie switches between standard and upright, and six settings come out of one head. Stock shafts are the 65 gram Tensei CK Blue or the heavier Diamana S+ Blue Board, with Golf Pride's Z-Grip on both. It's a straightforward club. Most of the fitting is choosing the right head and then nudging it.
