Cobra KING TEC Irons

Hollow construction with a forged face is the KING TEC formula, and it lands in an unusual place. The face is 1025 carbon steel inside a multi-material head, which gives a softer feel than most game improvement irons manage, and the 7-iron is 29.5 degrees. Sets run 4-PW. KBS $-Taper Lite at 110 grams covers steel, Mitsubishi's MMT 80 covers graphite, and flexes go from light to X-stiff in either hand.

Two other TEC models sit alongside it. The KING TEC X strengthens the 7-iron to 27 degrees with a 17-4 stainless face, and there's a single length version of that X build for golfers who want every iron the same length. Standard TEC is the conventional choice of the three. It's also the one that feels most like a forged iron.
