Cleveland HB SOFT 2 Putter – Model 8C

Blades with no toe hang are rare, and the 8C manages it by putting the shaft through the centre of the head instead of the heel. That removes the leverage that normally makes a blade rotate. Cast 304 stainless with a bare face, chrome finished, oversize grip, right hand only at 34 and 35 inches.

Address is the thing to test. A centre-shafted blade looks symmetrical in a way heel-shafted putters never do, and golfers tend to have an immediate reaction to it. Mechanically it gives straight-stroke players a small head, which the rest of the market largely denies them. The 8S is the same blade slanted for moderate hang, and the black range carries both.
