Sixteen degrees is a driving-iron number rather than a hybrid one, and it anchors an Apex Ti Super card that also runs 18, 21 and 24 degrees. A titanium face is the other unusual part, sitting in multi-material construction, which is a specification you almost never see this far down the bag.

Mitsubishi's MMT 70 HB is the single stock shaft, in regular, stiff or X-stiff, so the flex card starts where a lot of hybrids finish. The hosel turns; the weighting doesn't. Put those together and the picture is clear enough. This is a hybrid for a player who could hit a 2-iron and would rather not, and who wants the ball coming out flat and fast instead of high and soft.
