Callaway Apex Pro Irons

Apex Pro is the players iron in the family that gives a little ground on speed. The body is forged, the face is multi-material, and the 7-iron is 33 degrees, a degree stronger than both the CB and the MB. That single degree is the whole positioning argument. Stock shafts are True Temper Dynamic Gold Mid 115 and Mitsubishi's MMT 80 and 90 in taper tip, regular through X-stiff, with left-handed sets built. Composition is 4-PW.

Picking between the three players Apex models is mostly about how much cavity you want behind the ball. The MB has none, the CB has a conventional one, and the Pro splits it with a face that's built for a bit more ball speed in the long irons. Better players who want a forged look and still care about distance usually land here.
