Callaway Apex CB Irons

Forged from 1025 carbon steel, the Apex CB is the cavity back in Callaway's players group. Lofts are traditional and stay that way through the set, with the 7-iron at 34 degrees, so gapping into wedges behaves the way better players expect. True Temper Dynamic Gold Mid is the stock steel and Mitsubishi's MMT covers graphite, in regular, stiff and X-stiff. Both hands are available. Sets run 4-PW.

The CB's job is to sit between two extremes. Its partner the MB shares the 34 degree 7-iron but removes the cavity and most of the help that comes with it, while the Apex Pro adds a degree of strength at 33 and a multi-material face for a little more speed. If you play a full set of blades but wish the long irons were kinder, this is the usual answer.
