Callaway Apex Ai300 Irons

Game improvement is the brief here, and the Ai300 doesn't hide it. The head is the largest of Callaway's three Ai irons, built multi-material around a 455 stainless face, and the 7-iron is 29 degrees. Lighter shafts come with the territory, so the steel is True Temper Dynamic Gold Mid 90 and the graphite is UST Mamiya Recoil DART HDC 70, both stocked senior through X-stiff and in either hand. Sets are 4-PW.

Where it sits in the range is easy to read off the lofts. The Ai200 sits a degree weaker at 30 in a tighter players-distance shape, and the Ai150 weaker again at 31. Anyone stepping across from a super game improvement set will find the Ai300 the least jarring of the three. It's the forgiveness end of the Ai family without leaving it.
