About this club

Spud necks first appeared on the BB28 in this generation, and the 2023 Spud is where a wide bodied blade got one. Toe hang drops to an eighth behind it, so there is very little face rotation to manage, and at 358 grams the head is a little heavier than the BB1 blades of the same year. Graphite Gray PVD and an Aggressive Flymill face place it clearly in that range.

It was built for a straight stroke. Bettinardi offered the same head in centre shafted and armlock builds that year, which tells you the BB28 was always the low rotation option in the line and never a variation on the BB1 theme. Anyone taking the putter straight back has three of these to choose between.
