Wilson Infinite Michigan Avenue Putter

Michigan Avenue runs through the middle of Chicago and lends its name to the most conventional putter in Wilson's Infinite line. This is a blade with a slant neck at moderate toe hang, which is the oldest combination in putting. Nothing about it is unusual. Two lengths, black, right hand only.

Blades ask more of a golfer than mallets do, because there's less mass spread wide to cover a strike that misses the centre. What they give back is a small, quiet shape at address and a directness through the ball that larger heads dilute. Moderate hang means the face turns as the stroke arcs, so this suits somebody who already putts that way rather than somebody trying to learn it. The rest of the Infinite line leans heavily on mallets, so if a blade's what you want, the choices here are few.
