D stands for draw, and that is the entire brief. The face sits a degree closed at address on all three heads, lofts begin at 10.5 and climb through 12 to a 15 degree high launch build, and no sleeve or sliding weight exists to undo any of it. You get one shape. It happens to be the one most amateurs need.

Head size holds at the 460cc limit and the lie is a fairly upright 62 degrees, a combination that pushes the ball up and away from the right side of the course rather than rewarding shot shaping. The graphite Ascent is fitted in three flexes, from senior up to stiff. Lefties are offered a single build, at 10.5 degrees. Golfers who already hold a straight ball flight will get more out of the standard Max.
