About this club

Second of the two blades in this family, the 806 is the one with the more classical look at address. Underneath it repeats the construction story of the mallets, an aluminium sole plate below a hollow centre pushing weight into the heel and the toe, which is not something a blade usually gets. Roughly 35 degrees of hang means it wants a moderate arc, not a pendulum.

Feel is soft for a blade. That comes from a 304 stainless face with milling across it and TPU behind, a combination that reads gentler than solid steel normally does. The catalogue stops at 34 and 35 inches, with a Golf Pride Pro Only Blue Star on the handle. Lefties are out of luck. Golfers wanting more from a blade have the 805 to look at.
