Five lofts is a deep fairway range by any standard, and the Max covers 15 and 16.5 degrees in three wood shape before stepping up to an 18 degree five, a 21 degree seven and a 24 degree nine. Heads ease from 168cc down to 164cc as loft climbs. A carbon crown sits over the stainless body with a steel frame wrapping it, and the 475 stainless face varies in thickness across the hitting area.

The hosel is fixed. The loft you pick is the loft you play, a fair trade given how much of the range is already covered. Three Ventus profiles are stocked, the White, the Red and the Blue, senior at one end and extra stiff at the other. Left handed golfers get the 15 degree head and no other. Where the LS asks for speed and gives back control, the Max asks for neither and simply gets the ball airborne.
