Titleist Scotty Cameron Phantom 9.2R Putter

Nine is a large mallet and the point two gives it a plumber's neck, so the 9.2R combines a substantial head with moderate toe hang. That's a harder trick than it sounds, since bigger heads naturally resist rotation. Titleist mills it from 303 stainless with a chain-link milled Studio Carbon Steel face insert, in satin, both hands, three lengths.

Large mallets with hang are the growth area in putter design and this is Scotty Cameron's version. The stability comes from the footprint rather than from the balance, which leaves the neck free to suit an arcing stroke without giving anything back on forgiveness. A 9R sits alongside with a single bend and slight hang. The choice is stroke shape.
