About this club

A 200cc head is a lot of fairway wood, and that is deliberate: the bigger the footprint, the more forgiving the strike, which is the entire premise of the Max shape. Stainless at the face, carbon across the crown, and three lofts at 16, 19 and 22 degrees covering the ground from a 3-wood to a 7.

The build underneath is what defines it. Its shaft is the ladies-flex Speeder NX TCS 40, the grip a Lamkin ST Soft, 40 grams, and together they bring assembled weight down far enough that the head can actually be delivered at moderate speed. There is no adjustment at the hosel, and none in the sole either. For a golfer replacing a fairway wood that has never quite worked off the turf, the size is the argument.
