About this club

Somewhere between a driver and a 3 wood, and genuinely useful at both jobs. A 275cc head is small enough to sit down behind the ball on a tight fairway lie and big enough to be worth teeing up on a hole where the big stick brings trouble into play. The head is a tri-material build: a titanium body, a carbon crown, and 50 grams of steel plated into the sole to hold weight low.

Length is 43.75 inches, short for anything carrying a driver's name, and that is where the control comes from. Lofts are 11.5 and 13.5 degrees, both available to left-handers as well, which is rare in this corner of the market. Mitsubishi's Diamana F Limited covers regular through X across 55 to 75 grams, with a twelve position sleeve moving loft four degrees. Golfers who never quite trust a 3 wood off the tee should try one.
