Sixty five grams of stainless steel slide across the sole of the M5 fairway, better than thirty percent of the head's total mass in a single movable piece, and it's the heaviest sliding weight anywhere in TaylorMade's 2019 woods. Send it heelward and the club draws, run it out toward the toe and it fades. The difference is not subtle. The head around it is titanium, face and body both, capped with a carbon composite crown, and it measures 161cc in the larger builds against 151 in the 5 wood.

Loft and lie adjust through a 12 position sleeve with two degrees either way. Mitsubishi's Tensei CK Orange is stock, the 75 gram version at X, the 65 for stiff and regular, under a Golf Pride MCC cord at 51 grams. No senior flex was built. The Rocket head is right hand only while everything else comes both ways, and golfers who'd rather leave the weighting alone have the M6.
