One more loft than the 949X and a different face material: the 959X runs 15, 16.5, 18, 21 and 24 degrees with C300 maraging steel at the strike, on the same 175cc multi-material platform, and both adjustment points carry over unchanged.

Shafts are built to order rather than stocked, chosen by the buyer from Sub 70's no-upcharge options, in anything from ladies to X-stiff. The ladder is the point. What that extra 24 degree head really buys is one fewer awkward gap at the top of the irons, and for a golfer already sold on this way of buying clubs, the 959X continues the run rather than repeating it. Five heads, one build sheet, no stock compromise anywhere in it.
